Pebas is the market leading supplier of organic and non-organic fruit and drink concentrates in Denmark. Through on-going development of our production facilities, the company has developed into a high-end manufacturer of fruit based concentrates, brands and private labels, both in Scandinavia but also in the European market.
History - timeline from the beginning
In 1973 the founder of Pebas, Poul Erik Bæk, received a license to market SodaStream machines in Denmark.
Over the next 15 years practically everyone owned a SodaStream: more than 500,000 machines were sold in Denmark alone.
In 1985 Pebas entered the foodservice/catering (out-of-home) marketwith imported juice coolers, large carbonated soft drink installations, slush-ice machines and in-house production of concentrates.
At the end of the 1980's, lemonade - soft drinks for dilution to consumption strength - were included in the company's product range, and in the 1990 Pebas invented 'super-concentrated' soft drinks, which created the basis for major success in retail sales.
In 1993 a dedicated export function was established.
Currently, Pebas's main activities is the manyfacture of fruit-based concentrates for dilution with water, for the production of slush ice, carbonated soft drinks and ready mixed drinks. We aim to bring our customers quality products at competitive prices through continuous product development; as a result, today Pebas has a healthy portfolio with many customers and business areas.
In 2000 we launched an organic high-quality range 'Grønne Gaarden'. In the same year our HACCP quality control system was certified.
In 2008, Pebas was bough by 'The Kavli Trust Foundation'.
